On yucca cane plants,the "heads"of spines have roots.can these be pruned and transplanted?its overgrown.

just prune it and put it in some water to start a new plant....yuccas are very hardy it should do fine the way yuccas reproduce is often just from these spines falling into the soil and getting enough water to grow

pull it up by the roots, run over it with the car, compost, and every piece of it will root. You'll have it all over the yard in about 2 months.
