What is an average cost for utilites?

We are planning on buying a home in the Yucca Valley / Joshua Tree / Twentynine Palms area and have no idea what the average cost for gas, water, trash, electric and septic. I'm mostly interested in the water and trash. Thanks for all serious responses.

What is an average cost for utilites?
I presume it will depend on your usage. I do not live in gthe same cou ntry as you (for sure because the estates you mentioned does not ring a bell to me)

Sorry not being able to help much.
Reply:i used to live in twentynine palms my water and trash was about 75 -100
Reply:You might want to ask a realtor in the area.

Septic systems normally do not include a monthly fee, unless local regulations require professional maintenance of the systems.

Water and wastewater rates increase faster than the national inflation rate, due to increased state and Federal requirements for testing and maintenance.
Reply:thanks
Reply:If you live out of the area , call the County Planning %26amp; Building Division and ask for the names of the local utility company, water district, sewer distict and trash service company. Then call them. Depending on the loction septic may not be an option.

Sewer service is also important because its can cost more than the water bill.
Reply:I dont know about your area but where I live you can call the utility companies and ask them for the budget amounts for that property you are considering. The amount they give you will be based on the current occupant's usage but should be a pretty good estimate of what to expect. You should also be able to have your Realtor ask for actual bills from the homeowner. That's definately something you have the right to know in determining that you can afford the place in addition to the mortgage and other associated home owner expenses.
