My cat eats my Yucca Plant?
my kitten eats my plants but my nan said to put some pepper on it and now he's stopped so try that hope it works for you too, it shouldnt do him any harm when they go outside they eat allsorts of things
Reply:Some houseplants are very toxic and potentially fatal.

Not sure about the Yucca plant though.

Call poison control to find out.

Bring some fresh unpesticided grass in for your kitty to eat.

Gd. luck.
Reply:cats eat plants and grass cause it helps them bring up their fur ball if thats any help the only way your going to get him to stop is tell your cat off when he goes near it and when you go out lock the plant in another room with the door locked so the cat cant get it i hope this is helpful
Reply:Many people are under the frame of mind that you can't have cats and house plants in the same household. That is only a misconception. The fact of the matter is that you don't have to choose.

If your cat is just eating the leaves you can fix this problem with giving them something more appealing to eat. Go down to your local pet store and pick up pet grass. Most cats prefer this and it also helps with more stomach related illnesses as well. Pet grass can be hard to come by since so many cats love it.
Reply:Dont worry, its a natural thing. My cat its my plant as well. There is probably no way to train your cat to stop, so you could just try moving the plant up to a higher location in the room. Somewhere where your cat cant reach up to.
Reply:It doesn't hurt anything other than the Yucca. Cats like green stuff to nibble on. there are little kits with grass you can grow inside for your cat.
