Has anyone been to Yucca Valley California what did you think about it?

I used to live there. I loved it. My ex was in the Marine Corp at 29 Palms. We lived there a year. Plam Springs is close by the beach is a little ways off but not too far I didn't think and there's a GREAT outlet mall close by if you like shopping.
