Whats is it like living there? the snakes? what do people do there? transportation? weather? coldest it gets?
Yucca Valley Ca?
I have lived in Yucca Valley for about five years and I don't like it. There's really nothing to do. We have to drive 45 minutes to get to a mall, good restaurants, recreation. There is A LOT of drug use her, mostly meth. Luckily, my family is moving away in about a month. I just can't stand it anymore and could not send my child to school here someday. We're staying in CA and paying more for a home but we're moving closer to civilization! The weather is pretty nice though. But if there's nothing to do and a bunch of druggies all around, who cares?
Reply:Yucca Valley is in the desert of course so it's pretty dry. I have lived here for 27 years and I'm 33. So basically my whole life.
It's a pretty quiet town. We don't have a whole bunch of crime like the big cities. There isn't a whole bunch to do here. If you want to shop, you have to go to Palm Desert/Palm Springs. (Only about 35 minutes from here)
We have one movie theater which is dirty and over priced so if you want to see a movie, I suggest going down to PS.
Home prices have dropped which is great for buyers! :) Our home prices are usually between 189,000-299,000 for a very nice 3+2 home.
The snakes stay out of the way for the most part. It's not like they are everywhere. I see them in the roads maybe once during the summer.
Transportation- we all drive when we need to get somewhere. There's not much walking from store to strore in YV. We do have a MBA bus that will take you from 29 Palms to Yucca Valley. The weather is fantastic! We have 4 seasons! Hot Hot Hot in the summer- around 102 ish all the way up to 110 (Sometimes)
Fall is absolutely beautiful! Our winter is around 35 degrees. It snows probably once a year. We are lucky if it sticks for more than one day. (Wish it would snow more)
Spring is the best!
Coldest? I think in our coldest months it gets around 25-30 degrees.
Overall, Yucca Valley is a GREAT place to live. Not many sidewalks and there is no grass- (Unless at the parks) but it is a great place to raise a family!
Smaller community where everyone pulls together!
If you want any more info, let me know! Or if you want photos. I can take some and send them your way!

Reply:Its hot and dry and there's usually a breeze . There will be a few dustings of snow , but it melts in an hour . It rarely gets below 30 degrees .
