is it through glass? is it a room away from a window? having trouble defining it to care for my yucca cane. i never owned a plant before.
What specifically is indirect sunlight?
Indirect sunlight is like you not being wherre the sun shines directly on you but, you see the light from the sun, indirectly. Diffused light through a curtain or shade or beside a window where the sun doesn't ever directly shine on the plant or only light from another room is all indirect sunlight. good luck.
Reply:All good answers! Think of two pieces of paper, one shading the other, partially. In direct sun the shadow line will be crisp whereas with indirect sun, the shadow has fuzzy edges.
If the plant must receive direct sun, make sure it's when the sun angle is closer to the ground, not overhead.
Reply:it means coming through a window but not directly in front of the window
Reply:Bright shade
Reply:Indirect sunlight means sun, but not directly on the plant. It can be in a window or not, but if the sun is shining right on it that isn't indirect. If it is too far from a window, it may not be enough sun.
Reply:If you live in the Northern Hemisphere it would be by any window on the north side of the house.
That is the most common way to look at it.
Also if you are out side %26amp; at no time during the day %26amp; you wouldn't leave a shadow. Like under a tree.
Reply:As long as the plant is casting its own shadow well it is getting enough sunlight.
Reply:Not direct or in a straight line so as not to get sunburn or dried up.
Reply:sun light that does not shine directly on the plant. like through a fiberglass patio cover.
Reply:It means in a lighted area, not sitting with the sun beating down on it, like near a window with light coming in. Good luck, plants are great and fun.
Reply:Don't put the plant next to the window, place it away from a window, but not in the dark.
Reply:Indirect sunlight would be found in front of a window with sheers or where the sun does not shine directly on your plant. good luck.
Reply:Indirect light means not putting a plant in a sunny window but in a spot we it receives light; just not direct. A window that receives very little sun in the course of day is good too. Plants are natures lenhancers. Get a few more; they clean the air and keep us who live in colder winter climates in touch with nature. Good Luck
