pro's...con's?
Pro's and Con's of Yucca Mountain for Hazardous waste disposal?
Pro. The fuel for a nuclear reactor is a solid cube the size of a refrigerator. Enough to power a city for 6 months. It poses no threat. The distance from civilization makes people feel better.
Reply:Con. It has to travel over hundreds of miles of railroad, through towns and cities etc. An accident would be horrific. I don't know what to do with it, nobody does really; so maybe we should stop making it. By the way, I think it is nuclear waste specifically, all the waste that has built up over all the yrs we have been using nuclear power.
Reply:Hey, let's fill all our sacred mountains with hazardous waste, and load our oceans up with toxic effluence, cut down our rainforests, kill of our remaining wildlife, watch the worlds children die of thirst and starvation , pollute all our rivers and waterways, watch in complacancy as our snowcaps melt and trully, trully celebrate the creation of Hell on Earth. Who needs Heaven anyway? that's just for dead people. No, if we're gonna exploit our Mother earth let's do it properly, take no prisoners, blast the landscape to hell, after all, we already did that the to humans who used to live here in harmony with the earth. Let's go the whole hog. Only our Cities shall be sacred, life is dispensable, long live satan and may he enjoy his term of office in the whitehouse.
Reply:Pro...where else are you going to put it!
