So Mccain supports making Yucca Mountain, Nevada, the site for nuclear waste?

And are the people of Nevada happy about it?

So Mccain supports making Yucca Mountain, Nevada, the site for nuclear waste?
Because the site in Nevada has already been studied to death and all scientific and technical issues have been answered.

We need a place to put our existing nuclear waste and it makes no sense to spend another 10 years while people nit-pick the details of another site.

It needs to be done so lets get it done.

Actually, I would think that might be part of the reason the Romney delegates at the recent Nevada state GOP convention refused to back McCain and voted with Ron Paul folks (he voted against this as a violation of states' rights) towards sending the Nevada delegation in support of Ron Paul. Not having the numbers to even recess the convention, party leaders simply turned off the lights and fled in disarray, saying they were over budget and out of time at 5:30. Since they haven't managed to find a new convention spot, a Ron Paul supporter has offered to fund it, but the GOP leadership is saying no, no, no.....

Since McCain supporters aren't energized to go anywhere at all, and in Nevada don't apparently want to be known for who they support, they are trying to have an 'on line' convention. Many Ron Paul supporters are very angry at this. Personally, I can't see why. We tend to do well on line.
Reply:Making Yucca Mountain Nevada a nuclear waste site has been discussed since the early 80's.
Reply:How about putting it in Sonoma, AZ where McCain lives?
Reply:It already is.
