YUCCA plants... are they good?

Do they make good houseplants, do they grow big and produce flowers?

Where can you buy them in UK?

YUCCA plants... are they good?
~ Yucca's are readily available in most garden centres.

~ They will grow large eventually

~ Normally grown for the foliage rather than flower. I have not known one to flower.

~ They will tolerate fairly hot, dry conditions

~ Will survive outside in milder regions.
Reply:Small yuccas make good houseplants, no good for children though, spikey leaves. Put in the garden instead. I have a HUGE yuccas with five plants on it, they all flowered this year.
Reply:They are not good if you have kids around, I have a clump about 4ft high that had two flower spikes on last summer
Reply:ive had two, tried to grow them both inside but they both died
Reply:i have one in my garden that is 3 yrs old and has yet to flower yes they do flower they send up long shoots with the flower at the top above the leaf foliage i dont know where you can get them mail order maybe
